QAI's Conference STC2008

QAI's Annual International Software Testing Conference STC2008 was successfully concluded at Bangalore on 25th November 2008. The conference was successful venture starting with Michel Guez speaking about 'Model-Based Testing' and ended with panel discussion on 'Third Wave of Testing'. Few pictures of the conference are available here. More than twenty papers were presented and ten were displayed in poster competition. The conference provided good blend of Best Practices and view of future of testing. Although the reflection of current turmoil in industry was there in speeches of all plenary speakers, most were positive about growth in the field. Sashi Reddi, Founder of Applabs Tech, presented comparative growth in the field and highlighted importance of providing cost effective solutions to clients.
Overall contents of the conference were rich and diversified. Interactions with testing professional helped in networking and understanding each other's views on papers presented. The conference was organized by QAI and EdistTesting and main sponsors were Accenture and HP Softwares. Variation presented in Use Case Method of Effort Estimation, Case Study on ODC, different Best Practices in Exploratory Testing & Agile Testing were some of the learnings from conference.
